SMEPay Account Setup Guide (For Sellers)

This guide will help you create and verify your SMEPay account step by step in simple terms.


1. Create Your Account


2. Enter Mobile Number & Verify

  • Enter your mobile number

  • You will receive an OTP (One-Time Password)

  • Enter the OTP to verify your number


3. Fill Basic Details

After verification, enter the following details:

  • Your Name

  • Company Name

  • Company Email Address

  • Company Website (optional)

Once you fill this, you will be redirected to the SMEPay Dashboard


4. Start Account Verification

  • On the dashboard (top section), you will see:
    “Account Verification Pending – Complete Verification”

  • Click on “Complete Verification”


5. Select Business Access

  • Choose “Business Access (API)”

  • You will be redirected to the Integration Tab


6. Select Company Type

  • Choose your Company Type

  • Click on “Proceed”


7. Fill Verification Form (Documents Required)

When you click on Proceed, a verification form will open.
You need to fill in all the required details and upload the necessary documents.


📌 Documents Required (For Individual Company Type)

1. Proof of Address (Any One)

You can upload any one of the following:

  • Aadhaar Card

  • Voter ID Card

  • Passport

  • Driving License

  • NREGA Job Card

  • Letter from National Population Register

  • Utility Bill (Electricity / Telephone / Postpaid Mobile / Gas / Water)

  • Property or Municipal Tax Receipt


2. Proof of Identity

  • PAN Card (Mandatory)


3. Bank Proof

  • Cancelled Cheque or

  • Bank Statement


4. Business Documents

  • UDYAM Registration (if available)

  • GST Certificate (Optional)

  • Signed Master Service Agreement (MSA)   See Details -> 


📌 Important Note

  • Make sure all documents are clear and valid

  • Details in documents should match your application details

  • Incorrect or unclear documents may delay verification


📌 Different Company Types (Separate Forms)

If your business type is different, you need to fill the respective form:


8. Verification Process

  • Your documents will be verified

  • This process usually takes 3–4 business days

  • You may receive:

    • A confirmation call

    • A verification call

Make sure you are available and provide correct details


9. Verification Completion

  • Once verification is done:

    • You will receive a confirmation email

    • Your account will be fully activated


10. Get API Credentials

  • After verification, go to the Integration Tab

  • You will find:

    • Client ID

    • Client Secret

These are required for integrating SMEPay into your system


11. Check Profile Details

  • Click on the Profile Icon (bottom-left corner)

  • You can view all your account and business details there


12. Wallet & Pricing Information

  • You need to do a one-time wallet recharge of ₹2000

  • This amount is used for transaction fees

Charges:

  • ₹5 per transaction (deducted from wallet)

Important:

  • After the first recharge, no fixed recharge amount is required

  • Maintain a minimum balance of ₹150 to avoid interruptions
